Customer Review: “Stryker Radios are one of the best radios money can buy. They are powerful and beautiful. Good listeners. Cord comes out the front and I like that. The one I got needed a new power mos fet maybe? I had to send it back. I suspect it was a store take back. I could have fixed it maybe but I didn’t want to take the chance. Sometimes IC chips get blown then I can’t fix it. I sent it back. I suspect someone reversed the polarity and took it back to the store. Yes I’m guessing it may have been a take back radio. The CB was in perfect new condition visually with not a scratch on it. It was mint. I have to expect a radio to be working for the price tag it had. So I sent it back because it would not come on. Maybe someday I will be the proud owner of a Stryker Radio. In the mean time linear amps are just as good to get out with or better and not so big a price tag.”

Customer Review: “Had to get a replacement radio for my new truck as my Ranger would not fit. The Anytone 5555 is the same size format as a Cobra or Uniden CB – so if you are constrained by the width size as I was then you shouldn’t have any problems with the Anytone 5555.It is super easy to convert to 11 meter. There are numerous vids on how to do it and the mod does not take any tech skill. I did the mod in less than 20 minutes. Hooked up radio – works just fine. The menu is a little difficult to figure out but there is really no reason to go into it other than to enable the Weather Alert notifications.I didn’t have any issues with SWR – didn’t really need calibration. I did a few test calls and was able to reach out 50+ miles with no problems. 10 meter will take a little more work with the noise gate and clarification. Overall I am very happy with this radio and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a 10 meter high power radio that can easily be modded into the 11 meter band.”

Customer Review: “The first Ronald I bought I expanded it with a 1K (0.25W) resistor to add the 11 meter band (27Mhz) and it performed as expected, I installed it in my brother’s truck and replaced his existing NMO antenna with a Hustler HQ-27 center load, the radio internal SWR test function registered 1:1.0 Ch-1, 1:1.3 Ch-40 and 1:1.0 at the center of the spectrum Ch-20, with an external SWR meter the SWR readings were very identical except for Ch-20 which registered at 1:1.3 while channels 1 & 40 remained the same, as for the PEP wattage output it’s below the 50W around 40-45 watts PEP which is fine but it has the potential to be tuned up closer to or at 50W or even slightly higher, it is a menu driven radio like the other President radios to adjust the RX/TX settings, echo, color, EMG channels, etc, my brother is very happy with his upgrade with the Ronald from the Johnny III, this radio is so good with it’s specs and features I ended up getting another one for myself.Edit; for those who are experiencing TX power issues, you will need to turn up the RF power by keying up and holding the PTT button then a quick momentary push of the chann selector knob (Push) to get into the RF power settings, turn the channel selector knob to raise or lower the RF power, take note of the LCD bar just below the frequency display while adjusting the RF power.”

Powered by a Jesvery 50 amp power supply Astatic Road Devil power mic a KL200P with 80MM FAN and my Delta power meter PMS1000 for how many whiskeys on my 250 scale and my Solarcon A99.. Customer Review: “This is a great little radio, but not really ideal for a beginner or someone not willing to learn how to operate a ham radio. It will do exactly what you want it to do but in an entirely differnt way than a regular CB. If you struggle to set the knobs on a 29 you probably won’t be happy with this. (Not trying to be rude, but just saying)I bought this along with a new antenna and until I tuned the antenna it said error every time I keyed it up. Once I trimmed the steel whip down it started working and was able to get things going. This is really a great feature to protect itself from high SWR’sI didn’t realize from the description or reviews that this displays a lot of useful info on the display like incoming voltage, outgoing power, and SWR. I even checked the SWR against a meter I know and it’s acurate. (I managed to get it down to almost 1 during most conditions on channel 20. It goes up a litt but as you change the channel either way which is good and normal. Understanding SWR is a fascinating study and very useful for operating radio’s)I noticed on some reviews that there were comments about it coming on when you plug it in and there is a setting to turn that off.I set the automatic squelch control to 5 and adjust the RF gain as needed (usually 12 or 15) and have been amazed at how well that works. I love how it mutes when you do a quick tap to the power button. There are plenty of idiots out there that I’m not really interested in hearing too much of lol.My first CB was a cobra 19+ that I got for Christmas from my grandmother back in 1986 or so. I’ve been playing with radio’s ever since and this is probably one of my favorite radios yet. My last one was a connex and I really liked that one too.”

Customer Review: “What can I say about a 10 meters AM / FM radio that can also be used on 11 meters (CB) ? (with solder mod) It is remarkably small and powerful. Only disadvantage is the display only provides 2 digit channels which is OK for 11 meters but in other modes the channels mean nothing. I had to write a chart to map the frequencies to channels. That was more frustrating than it sounds.”
